Warranties & Returns
Here at STANG AutoParts we stand behind the products we sell. We quality check our items when they arrive from our manufacturers to ensure all parts and instructions are present. This means we can give you a 100% assurance of the quality of the product before we send it to you.
If you receive your product and there is an obvious manufacturing fault, we are happy to exchange the product for you. Just post the item back to us within 5 days of receipt and we will organise a replacement part. If the item is not in stock at the time of replacement, we can offer you a refund for the purchase price of your item or reorder the item for you. Reorder can take between 5-7 working days.
Returned items must be unused and in re-saleable condition with original packaging and sent back to us within 5 days of receipt. We cannot refund on items that have already been used or applied to the vehicle or where the original packaging has been discarded. We can also not offer refunds on Mad Coyote Club Memberships, Customised Items, or items already discounted in promoted sales (e.g. SALE price under RRP) unless there is an obvious manufacturing fault with the product. Unfortunately, we cannot refund based on change of mind or where we have clearly stated the suitability of the product to a market (eg. Lighting certification) and customer has purchased irrespective.
Most of our products are backed by Manufacturer Warranties which are noted on the product page as they pertain to specific items. We must follow the procedures of the manufacturer in order to claim under warranty. Some manufacturers offer extensive Warranties (e.g. 3 years) whilst others offer limited warranties. In all Warranty cases please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will advise of the process for Warranty Claim on your specific item. Further details are outlined in our Terms & Conditions. Any defects resulting from fire, misuse, abuse, modification, improper installation, crash or impact cannot be replaced under warranty.
Please note that Tax Invoices (NZ GST or International GST-exempt) are available for all sales purchased online, so please just email us at sales@stang for a copy if required.
LIGHTING - REPLACEMENT, WARRANTY & CERTIFICATION
We only stock genuine Lighting products from reputable brands like Philips, Konik, and JW Speaker. JW Speaker LED products carry a 3-year warranty. Philips products carry a 1-warranty. Konik products carry a 1-year warranty. Other lighting products carry a 1-year warranty. Please double-check with your Owner’s Manual before ordering – we cannot refund if you purchase the wrong bulb size. If you are unsure of bulb size please get in contact with us and we can seek the right bulb for you. All claims for incorrect orders must be filed within 7 days of receipt. Exchange only – no refunds.
Some customers may be unsure if specific lighting (e.g. HID or LED conversion) is legal in their state or country. This will vary widely from country to country and possibly state to state. It is important that customers are aware of legislation in their particular country or state in respect to installing after-market HID/LED lighting in a vehicle, as this varies for different countries and local legislation may change from time to time. It can potentially affect vehicle certification, vehicle warranty, or transfer of ownership in some markets. It must be noted that some lighting products may not be ADR/ECE/DOT/NZTA approved.
New Zealand customers should be aware of July 2018 legislation amendment to changing light sources on headlamps (low and high-beams). Changing from halogen to LED could potentially fail vehicle Warrant of Fitness. Please note that this amendment pertains to headlamps (low and high-beam only). We have tried to make this as clear as possible here and on each relevant product page.
